Dec 31, 2006: Britains final payment to America for World War II. $83.25 million. 61 years after victory, British taxpayers paid America for the privilege of surviving Hitler. The debt wasn't for winning. It was America asset stripping, now the USA will do this to Ukraine!

Remembering a lovely lady.
One of my loveliest friends died this year from cancer.

She loathed Brexit as it had been responsible for preventing her making Spain her part year home in recent years.

I know one of her greatest wishes would be to rejoin the EU.

For 40 years, you’ve been part of our Union.

Four decades of sharing your exceptional culture and innovative spirit with us.

Four decades of your countries growing stronger inside the EU.

Congratulations!

In the 6th largest economy, 103000 people died in poverty in 2024.

120,000 died in fuel poverty, couldn't afford adequate heating.

Ethnic minorities, pensioners, single working age adults more likely to die in poverty.

Poverty and death sentence is a political choice as govts appease the rich.

In Trump’s pay-to-play justice system, you can get away with defrauding nursing homes, skirting your taxes, and committing securities fraud. So much for “law and order.” https://youtu.be/NflcWXdV-B0?si=Tj1mzuAdV8zjXEpY

Why was this political activist allowed to take over at Glastonbury?

Questions of political bias clouded everything in 2025, and pop music was no exception. Glastonbury was rocked by an enormous controversy, reported in full by the Eye.

‘Mutual free movement’ for UK and EU citizens supported by 84% of Brits, in stunning new poll
Omnisis poll suggests opposition to free movement was based on lack of awareness and the UK government failing to enforce the rules

reform's support artificially enhanced by bots? Well knock me down with a feather and call me shirley
From Geebeebies, no less.

If 90% of Deform UK's online support is Russian Bots, how about extrapolating that to online polling numbers?

That is likely why Reform is focusing on overall polling % rather than taking the LibDem strategy of directing all their effort into only the seats they know they can win under FPTP.

This popularity halo effect will be doing a lot of the work for Reform UK.

But it is likely false.

So Jack Smith's revelation [with receipts] that King Donald the Mad was, in fact, directly responsible for the January 6th Capitol attack, is a great opener for the BBC'S $10bn Florida defamation suit, where the corporation reported exactly what he said on the day with edits for time.

🚨 “Can I tell you how many times in the last 45 years the European Court of Human Rights has ruled against the UK when it comes to deporting people from this country - only 13 times - in 45 years”

Please remember this in 2026 when Nigel Farage tells you we must leave the ECHR to control our borders
Human rights are universal - politicians may not always find them politically convenient but it shouldn’t fall to any government to say who those rights should & should not apply to. Because none of us then has rights, just privileges that can be taken away by those in power

£1 in the pocket of the low-waged gets invested in the local economy. I don't know anyone on minimum wage who stashes their cash offshore to evade UK taxes. Do you?
