457 UK armed forces personnel died in Afghanistan during the 20-year deployment.
This is a fucking hideous thing to say. Even by his non-existent standards.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

Every time, Mum was angry and wanted me to seek answers. The Procurator Fiscal or Coroner here in Scotland are still investigating.

I know staff members have been interviewed.

Trump is almost certainly angered every day by whatever he's forgotten overnight. He's so unfit.

One of the many things I discovered in Mum's dementia journey is that her short term memory became 24 hours long.

So, every day was a day of new discoveries. I had to explain things about how her CVA or "Stroke" was known about by the ward including doctors but not treated for 4 days.

This morning, @mrjamesob.bsky.social played - live - Donald Trump's....

Ramblings?

Long enough to convince me of 3 things:

1. Trump is definitely in the final stages of dementia.

2. USA media is negligent in not airing all that Trump says.

3. If James does this again, I will hunt him down.

IMO and from history the US has never served its allies in good spirit there’s always been a deal. Don’t forget the massive debt U.K. was left with post WW2 that took decades to pays off. With the US it’s always US first and always has been.

The thing is, when Trump eventually backs down, he and his cronies can take advantage by buying back shortly before he makes his announcement.
In the last section of his show yesterday, @mrjamesob.bsky.social was talking to Victoria in the Bahamas (I think).

A lady with extensive knowledge of bonds & debt.

She was surprised the markets hadn't reacted negatively to Trump already.

Looking at the markets this morning, I see they now have.

Countries buy trillions in US debt to bale them out on a weekly basis because it is the gold standard of debt. Is Trump changing that with his destabilising geopolitical madness. Who knows.

I heard that too. He also said it didn’t much matter what Starmer did - it was more about the rest of Europe. I think he underestimates the strength of the precise semantics when spoken by Starmer.

"Republicans are OK with a diplomatic way of acquiring Greeland".

That comment was made on MSNBC.

This is the issue - even if Trump dropped dead today, there are far too many loons in the GOP.

There are no "diplomatic ways" of acquiring Greenland.

Greenland is not for sale.

This morning, @mrjamesob.bsky.social evaluated Keir Starmer as betting everything on Trump changing.

I don't think that is the case - I think Starmer is seeking to maintain relationship with the USA for when Trump is gone.

And Trump will be gone, one way or another.
