My D&D group in my 20s used to mock our DM for making us roll for lots of stuff that should just be auto-success. In my 40s, I can somehow crit fail brushing my teeth and throw my back out for a week.

This is true. And even if one does “forgive”, one does not need to forget—or allow the abuser further access to oneself/one’s life.
Today’s concept of “forgiveness” is pushed on survivors of SA, DV, or other abuse as the only way to “move on” and heal from their trauma. This is nothing but patriarchal garbage. You can survive and thrive without “forgiving” those who have caused you trauma.

I have a theory about this. I think that a lot of politicians on both sides of the aisle think that once Trump is *truly* out of the picture it will be "The Great Ctrl+Alt+Del" of American politics.

one of the underlying factors in all the Epstein stuff is that his correspondents - even the ones who likely did not participate in abuse themselves - are completely incapable of imagining his victims as people. he is real to them, the girls aren't.
