Oh, same! But I could feel the collapse happening.
I'm sad that Platinum Grit will never be finished, though. Towards the end the storyline got so good. The Shockwave/Flash comics were so innovative and effective, but they had to be excruciating to make.

My latest at @comicsjournal.bsky.social: I talked to @oglaf.bsky.social! Not the character, but rather, the people who create it.
They don't do many interviews, so this was a real treat. They're funny people! Turns out they're not super private, just...really bad at PR?

Something stupid happened last night, clearly. I am going back to bed. I can’t deal with whatever on four hours sleep.

miniature tools such as crowbars are easy to find on websites or 3D print if you're into that
While your kids are asleep, remove their hamster from its cage, bend a gap in the bars, and hang a tiny rope ladder down.

It’s hard. I lost my brother, my mother, my father… they’re never going to be Not Gone. 💔
It's been 12 years and that grief is just as present as it ever was. I can't even stray near it, like a river it drowns me. I'm thankful for the mother I had. The pain in losing her is the pain of losing an unconditional love and I acknowledge that I was lucky to have it as long as I did.

Probably true, but circumnavigating a whole planet on foot seems like a lot. I’m not sure anyone has ever actually finished it.
Stupid grief. My therapist says I need to process it or whatever.

That’s how it is. I’m sorry you’re there. One step is all it takes to find ourselves there.
This is how I feel walking around Bellingham. First I felt like I was a sad ghost myself, but maybe I'm just in another dimension on Grief Planet.
I think of it as a whole other world. Grief Planet. You can be walking along in what seems to be the real world, but it isn't. It's somewhere else.
The air, the food, the gravity. It's all different.

My mom died earlier this year and despite the fact that I wrote a WHOLE NOVEL about a dead mother and trying to come to terms with it (involving switching across alternate universes), it did not remotely prepare me for the reality. It's a shit club I cannot recommend, the Dead Moms Club.

Del Toro’s villains are always artisans of arrogance. It’s incredible how well he knows how they work, and how he always lays it down.

Since I get challenged on this a lot: U.S. and Japan are both Berne Convention signatories, meaning the copyright is recognized between countries. They CAN go after American companies. And they are. And I love it.
