I've been thinking about this a lot lately. An entire economy powered by shame and redirected anger.
We need to understand the libidinal composition of anglofascism. It's a carnival, it's pints and packet on a Saturday. It's the feeling the cruelty might finally be worth it, because you get your share, laundered through the images of owned lib, sad migrant, and the cheeky, horny, deporter in chief.

Not sure how effective this now (esp because of delivery apps) but I do often wonder what would happen if you asked an anti immigration activist, especially the younger ones who have probably gone to school, college or worked with non white people whether they’d deport people they personally knew
