This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!

As SCOTUS is about to take up a case about the propriety of nationwide injunctions, seems relevant that the admin may be shuttling people between detention facilities in order to avoid district-wide orders not to summarily expel people to an El Salvador mega prison

Trump administration might have just moved detainees from SD Texas to ND Texas to deport them under Alien Enemies Act Proclamation

I know, this is one of those wild resistance lib-brain ideas, but everything about this, and everything about the IRS Commissioner appointed without Trump's knowledge, shows we are clearly in 25th Amendment territory and we should stop pretending otherwise. It should be said over and over.
WSJ: “.. So that morning, when Navarro was .. in a different part of the White House, Bessent and Lutnick made their move ..

“.. They rushed to the Oval Office to .. propose a pause ..

“.. They stayed until Trump tapped out a Truth Social post ..” 🤡

This is the the only case anywhere in the country that determines if the country falls into fascism.

Either it stops here, or we fall into the abyss. There is no coming back from this. Anybody anywhere can be plucked off the street, denied all due process, and disappeared.
Asked about returning Kilmar Abrego Garcia, Bukele says he won't "smuggle a terrorist" into the U.S.

The most revolting Oval Office presser since Feb. 28 (the Zelensky one).

Even just hitting a few of the lowlights of this will leave you sickened and dismayed.

BUT it's also clarifying. Anyone who has been talking about "the road to authoritarianism" can stop that now. The road is behind us.
COLLINS: Can President Bukele weigh in on this? Do you plan to return Garcia?

BUKELE: How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States? Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous

Trump is also saying that the once the US has rounded up individuals, with minimal or zero due process, on whatever pretext they choose, they can send them out of the US to face torture, death, life imprisonment, slave labor or other fates that are unconstitutional or illegal in the US.
Trump now saying — contrary to his previous statements and those of federal officials — that people removed from the U.S. to El Salvador are in the “sole custody” of El Salvador

3 days ago RFK Jr. told the CDC to stop recommending water fluoridation, claiming it was a neurotoxin (this is a lie).

Turns out he also just eliminated the CDC’s entire Lead Program, and now lead poisoned children in Milwaukee are just on their own. Lead IS a neurotoxin and harms brain development

Trump brags about his shakedown of major law firms: "We have a lot of law firms that have paid me a lot of money... they paid $100m on average... hopefully I won't need that many legal fees. I may. Who knows? After it ends. After I leave maybe I'll need it, but if I do it won't be very pleasant."

I don't think people realize that in important respects tariffs are now higher & more inflationary than what was announced on last Wednesday.

Since then we've gone from 54% to 125% on China, our 3rd largest trading partner. That outweighs delaying the increases on 70+ others.

Trump's entire shtick has always been "I will make you rich." It's what his TV show was, what his books and "university" were, and it's what his presidency is. It's all about the hope that if you support him and do what he does, you'll become him.

It's all a con. It always was. It always will be.
