All of us are socialized with transphobia, it takes real work to undo it. Honestly, I've had better conversations about gender with literal children than with cerebral, academic liberal queers trying to talk to me about how transmisogyny is really a fear of men so we should be nicer to them.

hey here's something I would love us all to do like RIGHT NOW: find out if your local library is doing any kind of pride programming or display, and if they are, email them to say thank you and why it matters to you. whether or not you're queer. especially if you're in an area where it's fraught

So this is actually a relevant and fairly good book (for what it is and what it's trying to say, at any rate) that actually heavily draws on Lenin's "Imperialism" (without citing it directly, because a Lenin citation would instantly scare the people it's trying to reach.)
