They also can't understand the concept of sisterhood or "liking women" because they don't, themselves, like women
i really find it funny when cis men get extremely upset and angry when cis women come out en masse to defend the presence of trans women in sports and games leagues because they are unable to comprehend the idea of "women hanging out"

Today for @theverge.com, I talk about transfem narratives: the epistemic lockout from mainstream publishing, the advantages and pitfalls of the self-pub model, and what a global transmisogynistic panic implies for our ability to make our voices heard and represent our own lives and worlds.
Trans women are building their own publishing world, and it’s under threat
Online communities are stepping in where traditional publishing stops.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Pleasantly surprised that the "good luck babe" covers from the other girls perspective are actually really really good and heartbreaking rather than hateful.

I used to think lesbians just weren't into me for the longest time, and then a girl who hit me up at the club confessed that I was really intimidating and too hot to talk to and that her friends were cheering her on.
men are better at approaching lesbians than lesbians are 🤨

It's basically impossible to find but the best mix are F/F and M/M it simply warms my heart. What are characters in your story even for if not to do gay stuff.
Mixing F/F and M/F in the same series is brave, the homophobic hetleresses will never read your F/F installments and the lesbians are going to be like 'what is this [slur for straights] shit, vomit' and not read the M/F one.

Lesbian for everybody. Even you, the reader
same, that game character you like? lesbian, this person in the last movie you watched? also a lesbian, oh the hero of that book is literally married to a man? clearly a lesbian dealing with comphet

Not to me; to me all women are lesbians until they directly state otherwise, because lesbianism is beautiful. (If you don't like this joke, consider why you think so, and also consider why its more popular to look at "all people are straight" and say "well all people are a little bi")
and like, it’s easy right? it’s difficult to prove a negative. heterosexuality is the default. so if a character ends up with or has a tragic relationship with a woman in a piece of media (but nothing with men) it’s much, much, much safer to call her bisexual.

even negative interactions with men…

can be sexualized (as they are in real life. a man negging a woman is “banter”).

so unless writers or creators explicitly say that a character is a lesbian, you can’t actually call her that without people breathing down your neck that actually you’re erasing bisexuals. it’s exhausting

Low key because Tron was in Kingdom Hearts 2 so kids got a watered down and more digestible version of it and thus would be more open to further media.
Pretty confused by how TRON became a big-budget movie franchise. Was it a bit hit when it came out? No. Did it become a big hit on video/TV? Also no. Do people have fond nostalgic memories of it? Eh kinda but not really. Was it secretly great and critically acclaimed? No again

honestly fu** you if you think gazans are only allowed to ask for help to cover their very basic necessities when they’re starving or being killed, calling a gazan a grifter for trying to secure her education proves that you don’t see gazans as humans who deserve to live equally.
