I’m not trying to be an asshole, I genuinely want to have a clean concise article/thread feed that isn’t gummed up by ai-slop, scammers, tools, cranks, or anything that isn’t strictly informative.

There are only 45 million foreign-born people living in the United States right now, about half of whom are naturalized citizens. So this ridiculous edge-lord post by taxpayer-funded trolls is suggesting deporting 55 million native-born citizens.
This should not be shrugged aside. They have stopped with the fake 22 million illegal immigrants things and are flat out saying we want to deport 10's of millions of citizens and legal residents from "third world countries" Basically they are advocating removing 1/3 of the population on a gov site.

Wow. It's almost as if someone at the New York Times desperately needs to keep the only president willing to protect and provide cover for wealthy pedophiles in office. I wonder who that could be?
Trump’s approval is under 40% so naturally the New York Times found a whole bunch of people that support or defend what he’s doing, including a Kamala 2024 voter who regrets his vote lmao

I think it's really worth noting that literally ZERO mainstream media outlets were talking about Trump claiming a land strike on Venezuela until a few others and I noticed this post here on Sunday and started asking questions. That goes completely unacknowledged in coverage.
Trump says this December 26 in an interview with John Catsimatidis that the US destroyed a drug trafficking plant in Venezuela on Christmas Eve.

“They have a big plant. A building from where the boats leave. Two nights ago we hit them hard.”

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.

President-elect Trump initially balked at submitting names of likely nominees to the FBI for background checks, a basic step intended to flag possible financial conflicts or ethical problems.

So, librarians, do you have a contingency plan for when these goons enter your facility? You might not be able to block access to a public building, but how are you alerting your patrons? Do you have a plan to get them out safely? Because you should.

“It doesn’t matter.”

I suspect he just blew a deniable CIA covert op, because he’s a big dummy.
Q: Can you say any more about the explosion in Venezuela that you mentioned in a radio interview. Did the military do that?

TRUMP: Well, it doesn't matter. But there was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs. We hit the area.

Ok all sarcasm aside, what these white supremacists are really talking about is when they are asked to apologize for doing racist things. Which happens. Because racism is something to apologize for. What they are saying is that no one should have to apologize for racist actions or statements.
Next time someone says they don’t have to apologize for being white anymore, ask them to tell about the most recent time they were forced to apologize for being white and who made them do it.

This is one of the reasons the “Covid is just a flu” narrative always bothered me.

It minimized the risk of COVID while also downplaying the severity of the flu.

The flu is not a joke. It can & does kill. It can & does disable.

Please get vaccinated.

A well fitted mask like an N95 helps too!
The death of any child is tragic. We always think it will not be my child, they are healthy. Severe influenza can be unpredictable & deadly. Getting vaccinated considerably reduces dz severity and deaths. Please make sure you are vaccinated & your children are too.

NEW from me — I broke down Trump's claim on local right wing radio that the US carried out a Christmas Eve land strike in Venezuela, how he doubled down Monday, the subsequent media reports with no substance, the potential role of social media rumors about an actual fire, and how we need the truth:
Trump says US bombed alleged drug facility in Venezuela. No one knows if it’s true.
It could be a lie from social media, or a conflation of other stories. Either way, Americans need to know.

This is a really good explanation about why nefarious actors don't NEED ownership or supply chain attacks to exploit a router, because you probably haven't secured it anyway
As the U.S weighs potentially banning TP-Link routers from sale on national security grounds over its alleged links to China, I blogged about the U.S. government's weak-ass argument and why a ban won't save the U.S. from years of its own terrible cybersecurity practices.
Banning TP-Link won't save America from its own terrible cybersecurity
TP-Link routers face a ban in the U.S. over the company's alleged links to China, but shoddy cybersecurity is the real insider threat to the United States.
