This Veterans Day, I’m thinking of the millions of Americans who have served in uniform — and how our government is failing them right now.

Words aren’t enough, we need actions. Fund the VA. Fund mental healthcare. And end endless wars.

My husband and my dad are both veterans. They named the films closest to what they experienced. For my dad, it was When We Were Soldiers; in my husband’s case, Restrepo (he was providing air support). Ask the veteran in your life what film they relate to, you may learn something about their service.
