Prominent right-wing figures are calling for the military to free Tina Peters, the Colorado election-denier-turned-MAGA-folk-hero who’s currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for her role in a 2021 voting system data breach, in a failed attempt to find voter fraud.

I went to see a bunch of these with my mom last year. It was delightful. She's in a skilled nursing facility now, so I extra-appreciate the memory. 🙂🎄☃️

“[Eventually] humanities depts will be forced to accept AI-authored assignments, as part of revised university policy to cooperate with these billionaires. It's already happening, and our response needs to be decisive. Because our students' ability to *think* is at stake.”

really important thread ⬇️
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

The investigators asked Clint Massie how many more girls in the church might come forward with stories about him touching or kissing them.

“I mean, there could be hundreds,” he said.

If you're ever wondered why journalists seem so out of touch most of the time it's because in order to establish yourself you need to either come from money, marry into money, or be OK with abject poverty and daily financial panic

That third thing is unsustainable long-term

From local to national to across the pond, the establishment sector of the ostensibly left-wing parties has been letting every day people down, to the destruction of the party itself. I'm ready for the ideals to be the norm for a change.
Even on the heels of a historically successful election and the largest protest in US history, Chuck Schumer’s caucus caved in the shutdown fight. Senate Democrats need bold new leadership to fight the Trump regime, and that starts by making Schumer step aside: indivisible2026.org?utm_source=b...

Billionaires love it when we’re busy arguing with each other.

Meanwhile, they're rigging the system to hoard money and power while we fight over the scraps.

We’ve got more in common than they want us to think.

God this is so utterly despicable. Trump is “he was no angel”- ing a journalist who was murdered and dismembered with a bone saw by agents of an authoritarian regime.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."
