Big tech companies are prefect examples of hubris and incompetence.

Banking and financial institutions more so.

As a seasoned software engineer I find it so insulting that we're paying both these industries to screw up and screw us.

What's more frustrating is that nobody with power will help.

Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)

These people have voted for Trump three times. THREE. And he still has like a 38% approval rating. Give up. Stop trying to change their minds and focus on people who actually want to make this country better

You're laughing? The team that lends their plane for deportation flights and whose owner is best pals with Trump got utterly humiliated in front of a hundred million viewers, and you're laughing?

Watching Eric Berger (historically a Musk fanboy) struggle with the revelation that Musk is a fake engineer conman white supremacist never loses its entertainment value
Why would Elon Musk pivot from Mars to the Moon all of a sudden?
SpaceX has already shifted focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon."

the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people that Ezra Klein knows what he's talking about
Ezra Klein's Abundance movement is getting some backup: A new political group is urging Democrats to embrace "pro-growth," deregulatory policies with an eye toward 2028, according to plans first shared with Axios.
Exclusive: Centrist Dems strike back with new group
It's the latest effort by moderate Democrats to shape national politics and expand their influence.

I love this skeet so much because it completely undermines the idea that business leaders are hypercompetent or intelligent. This guy is a managing partner at a financial services firm and CTO, skeeting about how he's able to unscramble the word always from ywasla.

This is bleak: Jes Staley, currently CEO of Barclays, reassuring Epstein that popular revolt against financial elites is unlikely because capitalism and pop culture have defanged social movements, leaving people more invested in consumption than justice.

Hot take, but no one should be using ChatGPT and any AI products in general.
OpenAI president Greg Brockman and his wife donated $25 million to MAGA Inc in 2025.

There's a push to boycott ChatGPT, that tool is now added to StopICEToday.com
I gathered a few resources you can use & take action with to protect your communities from ICE:
