Capitalism poisoned nostalgia so much that some people can’t seem to enjoy nostalgia of *any* kind now. Not all nostalgia is bad? So what if you like a seasonal food or family tradition just because of nostalgia?? It’s fine!! Let yourself enjoy harmless things and warm fuzzy memories.

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

I had surgery to remove some gnarly kidney stones yesterday. So glad to have those motherfuckers out 🪨 They were like 10mm, which is insane cause that’s like trying to piss out a pea, so there was no way I’d get them passed naturally.
