Bari Weiss and her benefactors vastly overestimate the remaining percentage of Americans who want their racism watered down. There's no market for the diluted stuff any more when people can get it undiluted directly from the source.
Incredible. CBS Evening News announces five new “simple values” — instead of their “38-page handbook” — as they roll out Tony Dokoupil is lead anchor.

One of those values is simply: “We love America and make no apologies for saying so.”

I’ve written about how the rhetoric that cast mamdanis win to be *despite* his vocal defense of Palestine was wrong, it is because of the movement that we have this win. But still it felt incredible to be standing in that strength. To see it embraced in our city.

The liberal consensus for years was that Palestinians existed outside of liberalism and human rights frameworks and Mamdani, among others, are the byproduct of the underlying shifts in public opinion and the opinion of liberal institutions.

Today felt like a glimpse into a world I want to raise my child in.

One where a Muslim mayor can be sworn in by a Jew, an Imam can give an invocation, a Black, immigrant public advocate can tell his child self how proud he is.

I don’t know what comes next, but I will hold on to this feeling.

They want to wipe out almost a third of the country. It’s got nothing to do with illegal immigration.

It’s white nationalism pure and simple. They’re fascists, and there’s no reason to doubt it.

Brilliant Heba names what is happening.

"This vision of an ethnically cleansed, white US is being enacted in policy."
The goal of the Trump administration is an ethnic cleansing that is actively being enacted, and that promises to destroy the diversity & freedoms that were ever the strength of this imperfect nation.

Trump’s obsession with me is beyond weird. He needs serious help.

Since he has no economic policies to tout, he’s resorting to regurgitating bigoted lies instead.

He continues to be a national embarrassment.
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."
