i think its quite eye opening. in a sense trans women & trans people in general are by no means exceptional and many are of course complex and flawed people but there is something about moving beyond cisness that gives someone access to a self-consciousness and subjectivity that is enlightening.
transness is a gift. i need every trans woman to understand that by nature of their existence they have been blessed with the ability to pluck the strands of fate with their hands if they choose to. it is not always easy and it is not without hardship but every trans woman is capable of greatness.

I would strongly encourage my cis friends to read these. I am not exaggerating when I say the last ~6 months or so has been an endless cycle of watching things become materially worse/more harmful every week or so and just having to go to work or whatever and go make small talk.
People need to understand just how openly genocidal the rhetoric on the far right is getting towards transgender people. They're openly talking about eradicating us and forcefully mass institutionalizing all trans people.

One of the most frustrating parts of this anti trans backlash is that we're missing out on valuable research time about real trans medical issues because we devote all our time, money, and effort into trying to convince people who are paid to never be convinced that our normal care should be allowed
