Just when you thought a landmark year for historical video game research was over!
For years I wondered what the dead boss in Monster Party for NES was meant to be.

The manual says it's a giant spider. Except it's not. It looks like a lizard.

Well, today I stumbled upon this: bogleech.com/halloween/ha...

The 1980s Gegebo Majuu (ゲゲボ魔獣) toy figurines by Bandai.

Giving the SPARCstation some jumper cables

Against all odds, you need this... The famous Gravis Gamepad! Positioning itself as the gamepad of choice for the DOS and early Windows gamer of 1993.

I never had one of these as sidewinders were my choice when I started PC gaming in '98.

Was this (or still is!) your fave, vintage PC biskies?

Trying not to dwell on weird comments but this response to my video "The Untold Story of the Nintendo Entertainment System" is next level. This should win some kind of award. This is a fifth grade playground burn, a troll I didn't know I was nostalgic for.

Last night, I showed off the really impressive "G-Zero" for the #Sega Genesis, which featured Mode-7-like #SNES visuals

Today, I want to show you another demo from 2022,
with a similar goal.
But this time for the #NES

An early title screen (left) for Phantasy Star II (MD) compared to its final release (right). Besides the similar but nude single woman, the same planets are there, but a nice portrait of Alis/Arisa(?) disappeared for the final title screen.

Because that is surely a thing that people will want to do? I don't know. I just get ideas and dumb stuff happens.
