I know these soundbites are probably losing their potency with some on here, almost one year into Trump 2.oh-shit, but this right may be the most horrific soundbite of them all.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I didn’t know Joe personally, but he was one of my first interactions of UofL Twitter back in the day. We chatted off and on in those early years. I’ll remember the hilarity he would inject onto my timeline at random. It’s my loss I never got to know him in real life. He is and will be missed.
I have no idea how to do this but here goes. Joe Kelly ( @thatboysgood.bsky.social ) has passed away after an illness. He was wonderful and he was infuriating and he was my friend.
