If we don't want bad things to become normalized (see the gutting of Public Broadcasting r) we have to be willing to spend time/energy fixing what has been broken.
Could a Democratic Prez reinstate these things? Of course. But they can't sigh, say "too late" & give up.

Having trouble articulating this but here goes. I can't w/ hip -hop that's "here's a beat that isn't that interesting. Here's me flowing over it." Unless you are Earl Sweatshirt and can weave words like tapestries, this feels like what you do when workshopping a song, not when you've finished it.

I mean aren't the Top 9 basically interchangeable? Has any director had a 10 year run like Rob Reiner had between 1994-1995? We're talking Eddie Murphy in his 20s here.
