Techbros are awful. You know what is even worse? Letting troops die because you refuse to consider pursuing technical improvements, we must reject faddish obsession with either technology OR with our current equipment, tactics, and platforms. Anything less should see you ostracized.
I like how this would make Eisenhower the mall ninja weeb.

Say it with me "Modern industrial warfare is the most complex multi domain spanning problem to exist, it is where every aspect of a nation is tested." This is what we have forgotten during GWOT.

There is a reason why...
Now that the future is here you have the audacity to ask me for help?

Something that just occurred to me is for all Hegseth's machismo prostrating it's like a classically cowardly thing to kill defenseless men in war. Like by millennia-old standards of honor.

Not only is this 100% correct, but because of the ultra-high net worth individuals we’re dealing w/what you have is a gigantic insider threat & counterintelligence problem. 1/
one reason "great power competition" is a bad description of the emerging order is that an interlinked global kleptocracy does not care about national interests or rivalries
Extraordinary WSJ reporting today that unveils the extent to which Trump, Witkoff, Kushner and US business executives are salivating over business deals with Russia while Putin’s forces kidnap Ukranian children and bomb civilians in their apartments.

The president is about to start a war for no real reason. All of the things he has blamed on the country he’s targeting — fentanyl distribution, “emptying the asylums” and sending patients to the U.S., alignment with Tren de Aragua— are provably, obviously false.

Lots of people are going to die.

At this point I am so profoundly uninterested in the “you voted for this” discourse, in either of its forms. We’re here now and if people want to put a shoulder behind breaking the GOP’s hold on power, let them.
Team Trump justifies his endless parade of lawless actions as what Americans voted for but it clearly is not. He’s minus 25 and people hate everything he’s doing. There’s no support for any of this, let alone in the illegal manner it’s being imposed.

Elon Musk donated $277 million to Trump so he could steal the federal government’s data, dismantle the nation’s infrastructure, and stop foreign aid from going to nonwhite people. It’s a quid pro quo breathtaking in scope, corruption, and damage, & completely unprecedented in American history.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.

Not stunting on Cav, but taking the opportunity to flog a hobby horse of mine: “funny” objective or operation names are funny until it comes time for a Primary Next of Kin brief for the kid killed on the op.
We had an op where we air inserted two platoons on a mountain to sweep down through a village while a third platoon blocked on the road at the bottom.

The Operation Double Penetration CONOP was approved at brigade level.

The moto of the national security state under trump should be this phenomenal quote I am stealing

“The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.”
Well Hati got a fire fight today so who knows what country will.

Also I will note this happened with Iran too where things ramped up a lot, went quite, and then 24-18 hrs things went full bore and Operation Midnight Hammer happened.
