This Bondi = intifada thing reminds me of Brianna Ghey = social media - in both instances there’s no proof that connects the 2 things.

The state and their mangy hacks will use any excuse to push their control agenda, the more emotive The better.

After spending nearly 18 months deliberately aping Nigel Farage and legitimising Reform’s politics, Keir Starmer and Morgan McSweeney are sending out their Torgos to lecture the public about how the real Farage clone is the one person in politics who meaningfully opposes him. Let’s see how it works.
Farage and Polanski have something in common. They are both wrong about Britain.

What's really going on here is that after the For Some Women Scotland decision The Times lied and lied and lied and lied and lied again to its readers about what the decision meant and the Supreme Court decided. It's now getting found out for its lies and instead of changing course it is digging in.

You don't need to take my word for this. You can just read what Lord Hodge - the judge of the Supreme Court who presided over the case said himself, IN AN INTERVIEW WITH THE TIMES. He could hardly be clearer that the case was not about single sex spaces.

It will take a substantive, progressive shift in policy. The mind-blowingly radical step of doing things your target voters like. Maintain the current course, and insult a politician who is better appealing to your target voters, and you confirm in their minds that they were right to reject you.

of course stopping the deepfakes before they're seen isn't on the table. the most obvious thing to do would be to criminalise the responsible AI executives but that wouldn't be very growth growth growth

That video the AI booster posted of him posing with the different movie characters inadvertently revealed the truth of ‘creative’ AI in that its product is akin to those boardwalk cartoon portraits; containing some element of technique but largely worthless to anyone beyond the individual involved.

Organisations who want to take away other people's rights are not, in fact, 'rights groups'.

Has the Guardian considered hiring a sub editor who knows what words mean?

For example; a 93% loss is not a 'victory'.
A hate group is not a 'rights group'.

This is revolting, racist nonsense and it’s being mainlined everywhere right now. No criticism of Israel is allowed, ever. They can starve as many babies to death as they like, they can mass murder hundreds of thousands and it's fine because they're Jewish.

Last week, the media declared a “partial victory” for Sandie Peggie, who sued the NHS for letting a trans colleague use the women’s changing room. In fact, the case was a flop. The gender-critical movement might be persuading journalists, but it’s failing with judges 🧵

My children😔
They are growing up in a tent, facing cold days and harder nights.💔
They need warmth, safety, and basic necessities.
Any support, even a small one, can make a difference. 🙏🏻

Bad news: The ‘patriots’ you’ve been indulging all actually hate you, your government and this country and would much rather be ruled over by Vlad and the Hamburger President. And in doing so, you’ve excluded many of those who might feel inclined to defend it and toxified the brand. Hats off.

Should we perhaps ask how decades of British strategic genius and ingenious politics have now resulted in us being attacked by both fascist Russia and fascist America, falling over ourselves to prove to the latter that we’re also enthusiastically fascist? This seems non-optimal, to me.

Ah, government departments are still blatantly doing "Christian name good, Islamic name bad", then. In 2025.

Splendid. Sensational.
Slides from a Home Office presentation for employers on “earned settlement” — note the case studies: they explicitly play the “good migrant” versus “bad migrant” narrative. Guess which category Sarah, the American, is placed in?

Whatever we think of the Venezuelan authorities, I’d like to think we can at least agree that unprovoked wars of aggression are what got all those Nazi leaders executed, and draw some conclusions about how hopefully not-fascist future historians are likely to judge what’s going on here.
"Trump has become a cowboy. He’s no better than the thing he’s trying to get replaced - nothing matters except his end result."

As Trump attacks a huge oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela, Emily and Jon ask: Has he simply decided to "𝘴𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘱𝘦?"
