The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

Too bad Sullivan Square is a major bus hub because it seems no matter what bus I take to get here I end up trapped in traffic for 30 minutes (109 via Washington or 89 via Broadway)

A massive result: Maine voters have rejected Question 1, a ballot measure that would have restricted mail voting and put into place strict new voter ID requirements. This outcome was no sure thing heading into tonight. The measure’s failure preserves current voter access in Maine, as 2026 looms.

Winter farmer's market was not packed because there were no snap benefits to match. There was a long line of folks outside a nearby church, though. I assume for a food pantry
