Truly a bummer that the city,

1. Contracted street plows that rammed the bike lane bollards over on Western Ave in Brighton
2. Didn’t even fully clear the bike lanes of the snow anyway
3. Didn’t use small plows to correctly clear the bike lanes leaving them safe and usable

A well designed pedestrian refuge #sneckdown here on Broadway in Somerville. I say we keep it! Many pedestrians stand on the grassy island when they don't make it all the way across.

Are you annoyed by Boston's snow covered bike lanes?

It's now been well over a week since Boston's snowstorm, and yet most protected bike lanes are unusable because of the snow.

Help us shovel Commonwealth Ave's PBLs and show that this work is an urgent need!

The city needs to submit a design plan within the next few months or risk losing almost $200 million in funding.

Who's got #sneckdown photos here in Massachusetts?
Snow is nature's urban planner: It can show us what parts of the roadway drivers don't use — and what can be reclaimed for pedestrians.

Post your photos and videos of all the #sneckdowns you see and tag us and @mayor.nyc.gov so today's winter wonderland can inspire better streets year-round!
