Think this is going to push a lot, if not most, of voters to the Greens. The right wing appeasement rather than practical improvements show Labour are not a party of serious government. Party before country.

Feel confident in backing the Greens, more moral and genuine with practical solutions.
A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

Why are reporters scared to question these ppl? Being unable to present facts without stuttering through it seems like a pretty low bar and very few actually seem capable of
Host fact checks top Trump econ advisor:

"Coffee, as you mentioned, up 15%. Uncooked ground beef up 14%. Bananas up 8%. Fresh cakes and cupcakes up 6%. Lettuce up almost 6%... Americans are clearly feeling that prices are continuing to go up."

In a way, I find the authoritarian takeover of our media system even more disturbing than the authoritarian takeover of our political system.

Our political system has been failing basically my entire adult life. But, the media system provided accountability and sort of worked. Now it’s collapsing.

Oklahoma really has one of the most backwards political systems in the country
Tremane Wood is currently on death row, despite his older brother admitting to killing victim Ronnie Wipf in 2002.

Next week, he will have the chance to make his case for mercy.

Oklahoma's attorney general is fighting to ensure his death anyway.

Am I a better journalist than her? Yes. Would I also be very bad at running CBS News? Yes. Because like Bari I have zero experience running an operation of that size, or TV of any kind, and I am similarly stupid.

Absolutely everyone on SNAP could be abusing it and I would still believe that it should be an option for people. Food should be free, frankly. There’s enough for no one to go hungry

I just don’t think we’re freaking out enough about this SNAP cut. I have spent my whole career working with people who rely on SNAP for food. People who work multiple jobs. Who have kids. What do you think happens when 1/8th of the population can’t buy food anymore? Everything is going to collapse.

I’d suspect that campaign financing is now a form of money laundering and that matters more to turn than people starving
If Michael Bloomberg was concerned with the wellbeing of his city and its people he would be writing massive checks to food banks instead of continuing to pour money into a sex pest’s long shot campaign for mayor www.nytimes.com/2025/10/29/n...

Private equity gave $10M to Trump's inauguration. He gave them greater access to Americans' 401(k)s.

DuPont and Dow Chemical gave $750K. Trump exempted them from an air pollution rule.

Intuit gave $1M. Trump killed the IRS Direct File Program.

Everything is for sale.

The largest war ship in the world has been moved to the Caribbean, along with other ships, bombers, amphibious vehicles and more.

That’s a lot of firepower to stop small vessels carrying drugs.

It looks a lot more like preparation for war.

Congress needs to get involved before it’s too late.
