which is also part of a broader anti-Asian western sentiment. There have been people treating Japanese media & anime as more morally perverse and bankrupt since the 80s & 90s. And it's still targeted by name in all the major religious & anti-porn orgs. This has been a decades problem.

Also yes, I'm very aware of the racism at play here too. I mainly meant to point this out as an overarching example. People like this would use any topic involving sexuality no matter it's origin, but yes Yaoi & BL as I've written about extensively have been very racially & xenophobically targeted

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone.
I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
