Being poly is expensive because if I go on a date to a somewhat nice restaurant I have an obligation to bring home food from that date, or my partner will stare at me with sad dog eyes when I return. $70 meal is always a $105 meal. π

I do feel like there's a general trend for people to kind of curl into themselves. Like we're all bombarded with messages of "relationships shouldn't have any friction or work ever. Self-care looks like isolation and consumption: lock yourself in your house, consume media, and buy shit online".
