TORONTO SUN: "hailed as a champion of safer streets and environmental progress, has become the face of Toronto’s cycling movement"

I'll keep saying it. In light of the decision in "Cycle Toronto v Ontario" plus Alberta and Nova Scotia pursuing magical thinking and stroking a culture war, it's time for PM Carney and Transpo Minister Freeland to tell the provinces to stay in their lane:

Good news, everyone! Ontario is investing about the same amount to fixing potholes province-wide as they're spending on another 401 tunnel study.

I've always wondered why so many "enthusiast" type cyclists (roadies, MTBers) don't own and use cargo bikes for daily errands.
I mean, clearly you love bikes. Seems weird to me that you wouldn't want more reasons to ride bikes. velo.outsideonline.com/urban/urban-...

Why We're Ditching Cars for Cargo Bikes (And Why You Should Too)
Cargo bikes are cheaper, faster for short trips, and more fun than the family SUV. Here's why you should make the change.

Toronto's anti-protest "bubble zone" bylaw is 50m.
This is what the proposed 200m encampment clearing from schools/playgrounds bylaw would look like at Dufferin Grove Park. (It's the entire park.)

Also.... every road safety advocate railing about unregulated micromobility who isn't also doing everything in their power fighting car bloat and reducing crashes caused by drivers is not a serious advocate.
Everyone cares about transportation. This makes studying it really fun, but also means everyone (including experts) is in danger of confusing their opinions for facts. You would not believe how many comments in an academic talk about walking and cycling have to do with regulating e-bikes.

Hi. Question. Why is the cost of running the bike valet nearly $450,000?

Council must find more than $8.3 million in savings to ensure the tax increase from the city’s portion of the budget is no more than 4%.

A jerk emergency.
Pesky e-bike riders delivering food to people should be ticketed... @tps.ca there appears to be a double standard here because stopping in for some Jerk King, although delicious is not actively responding to an emergency.
The use of the lights here, while clever, is certainly inappropriate.

We need to stop this “don’t get distracted” chiding nonsense. When you move fast and break things like the Fords and Trumps of the world, you’re actually capable of breaking a lot of things, for a plethora of shitty reasons. If it’s not your pet cause today, it will be tomorrow, just chill.

Or is more like CIMA+ taking the bike lane removal feasibility contract and concluding, "bro, don't do it" [paraphrasing]?
