The bare minimum for leadership in the Arctic would be to say *one* definitive thing about the USA’s overt threats to a sovereign Arctic nation—an ally and immediate geographic neighbour.
As an Arctic nation, Canada continues to take a leadership role in defending and protecting the Arctic in conjunction with Indigenous peoples and other Arctic countries.

Mark Carney is a coward for refusing to call out the Trump administration over its violation of international law in Venezuela and its escalating threats against Greenland.

He will slam Russia for invading a country, but justify the United States doing the same.

Moot point given our current provincial government, but when we inevitably change back someday to a more progressive party, congestion pricing in the GTA should be a high priority. By that point we should closer to 2WAD GO across most of the network, i.e. easily feasible alternatives to driving.
fantastic article with data showing how congestion pricing is one of the most effective transportation policies ever.

as a day 1 congestion pricing supporter it has been so satisfying to see the program be so successful

Canada's response on Venezuela is both right, and wrong. It is right to call for all parties to adhere to international law, but the problem is that the US clearly is violating it. Canada needs to be explicit about this, because the US is not just violating Venezuela's sovereignty.

Trump replaced one Venezuelan dictator with two: himself and Maduro's top lackey. Then he declared that Venezuela's opposition—which represents a majority of the people—is irrelevant, and added that he'll be ruling Venezuela and stealing its oil. Anyone celebrating is delusional.

Is it too crazy to think Maduro and his wife made a deal with MAGA to be easily removed from the picture to provide a pacifying semblance of change in Venezuela, while the remaining chavistas are named a puppet government to simply rubber stamp US interests?

“If you’re not Venezuelan, don’t speak” doesn’t really fly when Trump immediately suggested Mexico and Columbia are next. When Stephen Miller’s wife posts a map of Greenland with the US flag over it. When Trump has talked about annexing Canada for an entire year. This is global.
