Fare capping is something advocates have been calling for for over a decade!

Never stop advocating for what you believe in.
It's official! Fare capping and a fare freeze is coming to the TTC! Just now, City Council voted to approve the Mayor's Budget that invests in more reliable, affordable, and accessible transit - including a 47-tap fare cap that goes down to 40 taps in 2027, and the third year of no fare hike.

This was a blast! Thank you everyone for coming with us to ride the new Line 5 Eglinton

They use the same Bombardier Flexity Freedom vehicles as the ION in Waterloo, except in a 2-car configuration

Was pretty fast in the tunnels (50km/h) but slower in the surface sections. Better TSP still needed

I'm disabled and sleep poorly due to pain. The only step-free homes are apartments in noisy areas.

You can see the problem
Administration says that the amendments are "not intended to reduce infill", but refocus them to nodes and corridors.

Nodes and corridors are corridors like Calgary trail and gateway, Stoney plain road. Very busy, noisy and polluted arterials.

“We keep asking for the food for the puppy that you’re giving us, and then (governments) just give us another puppy,” Cooper said. “What am I supposed to do with that? What we need to actually feed the puppy ... that’s just not attractive to decisionmakers.”

But Br*d Br*dford told me they clear the bike lanes first... Bloor looks like it hasn't been cleared in 7+ days 😭😭

Bloor is one of the few streets I would actually prioritize clearing, there are enough winter cyclists (see pic 3) here to warrant it
