Not to take anything away from Mamdani's political skills, which I'm sure played a role in Trump's seemingly positive reception, but I can't help but wonder if Trump also reacted this way because deep down he still loves New York and wants to be a part of that scene. He misses his old life. 1/2

Perhaps this is judgmental of me, but I think almost all extreme age gap relationships are weird and gross, especially if one of them was very young when they met or married. If your partner is old enough to be your parent, ew.

I will never get over how tacky he made the Oval Office look. I'm not one who cares deeply about the decor in the White House, but this just looks like trash. It doesn't convey opulence, success, or whatever else he wanted it to. It just looks cheap and unaesthetic.

Far be it for me to argue that the president's brain isn't cooked, but a key thing about Trump is that the truth has no meaning to him whatsoever. It wouldn't matter if grocery prices had doubled; he would still claim prices were down. Reality is whatever he decides it is in the moment.
It’s pretty scary that the guy with the nukes can’t wrap his head around a Walmart promotion being cheaper when it is comprised of fewer items. It’s so complicated!

I've never visited NYC, but I've been to other large cities like Chicago or Atlanta. I've also visited many other places around the country. And I'm not a complete idiot, so I know that if you're the kind of person who enjoys living in NYC, you're not going to like living in Florida or Texas.
