A business that helps people survive!
Pinned
Hello All! Mike’s Club is a thrift store in McAlester, Oklahoma, but we are so much more! We sell donated items, but we give away as much as we sell. Our business is designed to make people stronger. This pic is our mission statement.
In America 2.0 (post-Trump) administrative warrants and administrative subpoenas will be illegal. All warrants and subpoenas must be issued by judges.

Something I don’t understand about the Epstein files:

We’re all demanding the files be released to the public, but I don’t see any demand that the case be reopened. It seems so obvious that there is more than enough evidence to support many investigations. Why aren’t we pushing for that?
February 2, 2026 at 2:58 PM
We need to start using the phrase “prosecute ICE” rather than “abolish ICE”. Abolish makes it sound like we’ll just make the agency go away. We need to put the fear of god in these people. They need to be afraid of the inevitable consequences of their actions.
I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

You know how some cities give their snowplows whimsical names? Why don’t we start naming snowplows in honor of the people murdered by the new American death squads? We can start with Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Seems fitting.

The America I served to protect (20 years, USAF) once had an FBI that did maintain a database of, and investigated, atrocities committed by law enforcement officers.
Kash Patel claims Walz telling Minnesotans a couple weeks ago to film DHS "to create a database of the atrocities" is rhetoric that "is leading to violence against law enforcement" and should be investigated
January 25, 2026 at 4:28 PM
We need to stop referring to these people as “Federal agents”. We honestly don’t know that they really are. We should call them “masked men dressed in military style uniforms with police markings”.
January 25, 2026 at 3:24 AM
I’m really torn about whether these people should resign or stay and fight. Resigning feels like quitting, but staying in place could likely destroy a career, personal life, and even family. I really just don’t know what’s the right thing to do.
FBI supervisory agent Tracee Mergen in Minneapolis resigned after FBI leadership in DC pressured her to discontinue an investigation into ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot & killed Renee Good. An investigation following an agent-involved shooting death is commonplace. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/23/u...

So, basically, our government has created a situation where using a correct, informative word can now lead to confusion or misinformation. Another example of just plain poor leadership.
CNN: DHS officials have come to FEMA staff and told them to limit the use of the word ice…they are worried that by posting something like, watch out for the ice, that it's going to become a meme….
January 24, 2026 at 4:18 AM
If you have a family member, relative, or friend who works for ICE, are you proud of them? Do you have a yard sign or bumper sticker that says “My son is in ICE”? I’m truly curious what their families are thinking in all this.
January 23, 2026 at 2:50 PM
It is tragic. But I also think that many Americans are only vaguely aware of what’s happening in Minneapolis. They know about it, but it’s not big in their minds. I absolutely don’t mean to trivialize Minneapolis, but for many people, affordability is still their number one issue.
Democrats needing to message on affordability as the country endures a brutal authoritarian takeover is tragic. Take it from someone who lives in occupied Minneapolis. Our problems go deeper than prices.

Congressman @doggett.house.gov, you do realize, don’t you, that he can only do these things because you, our Legislative Branch, are refusing to perform your checks and balances duties?
Violence only helps Trump & may provide him an excuse to further trample our rights by invoking the Insurrection Act.
January 22, 2026 at 4:37 AM
More reckless by far is the refusal of the other two branches of our government to perform their checks and balances responsibilities.
When a country with the world's strongest military, including nuclear weapons, puts a mentally deranged person in charge, it threatens the safety of the entire planet. The election of Trump was one of the most reckless acts in human history.

I watched @mark-carney.bsky.social ‘s speech at the WEF in Davos, saying the old world order is gone. It would be easy to say one man, Donald Trump, destroyed that, but the truth is, all of us (Americans) are to blame. We allowed Trump to rise, and we are allowing him to tear our country down.
January 22, 2026 at 3:56 AM
Every movement needs someone to rally around. I ask @captmarkkelly.bsky.social and @slotkin.senate.gov to run for president and vice-president. They are citizen-servants. A former navy officer & astronaut, and a former CIA officer. They are the team we need. And they are the team that can win!

Why don’t we demand to see THEIR papers? We don’t know if that masked person dragging someone into an unmarked vehicle is an Immigration officer. Demand to see their identity, and proof they are an actual government agent. Do a face scan for background check. Call the police. Report a kidnapping.
Trumps ice now demands we all show our papers just like the gestapo
How much more in your face can it be?

"Why are you asking me for my paperwork?"
"Because of your accent."
"You have an accent too."
"Where were you born sir?"
"Where were you born at?"
"Put your hands behind your back."

I think the Nobel Prize organization should revoke the prize. Even if she only gave it to appease him, she still disrespected it.
I mean I *knew* that the whole plan was for Machado to go to the White House and physically give Trump her Nobel Prize and yet I still feel like I’m disassociating that it happened.
January 16, 2026 at 4:17 AM
I think the better demand should be ABOLISH THE SECRET POLICE!

Immigration and Customs management is a necessary government function. But what’s happening now is not that. We need a complete, top to bottom, reset of the organization.

Is it possible to completely shut down a news network simply by everyone not watching it?
Despite wall-to-wall promotion, a cross-country tour, and interviews with top Trump officials, Tony Dokoupil’s "CBS Evening News" debut has delivered a ratings dud—and perhaps exposed the limits of Bari Weiss' MAGA-ification of the network.

In America 2.0 (Post-Trump) the President will have no authority to disperse or withhold funding for any purpose, other than funding allocated by Congress to the Executive Branch.
January 13, 2026 at 8:45 PM
As much as I love and respect Congressman John Lewis, from now on I plan to use his phrase "Good Trouble" in honor of Renee Nicole Good.

Trump is threatening to attack Iran because the government there is cracking down on protesters. But here at home, he supports government agents shooting protesters. I’m so confused.

@barbmcquade.bsky.social As a lawyer, can you discuss the authority an ICE agent has in encounters like the one in Minneapolis? Do they have general law enforcement powers? For example, do they have the authority to order a person to exit a vehicle without reasonable suspicion re immigration status?
January 11, 2026 at 5:24 PM
I believe ICE personnel have no law enforcement authority beyond immigration issues. If a person blocks the road in front of ICE, their only legal recourse is to call the police. They can’t order the vehicle moved. They can’t arrest you or pull you out.

Can any lawyer out there confirm?

A good American has been killed by her own government. By all accounts she was a patriotic American. The question I have for Trump, Vance, Noem, and all the rest, is the same question posed to Senator Joseph McCarthy in 1954:

Have you no sense of decency?
