Just about 30,000 people have signed the TransAction Alberta petition against Bill 9 and Premier Smith's use of the Notwithstanding Clause to erase the rights of more Albertans this week.

Will you be signature 30,000? transactionalberta.ca

The President of the United States is publicly calling for the political prosecution of his political opponents, urging the death penalty because they urged soldiers to uphold the rule of law.

This should be front page news everywhere. It is not, which tells much about how we got to this point.

Same for our public schools, same for the Canadian Forces.

Is it a threat to free speech when the President of the United States threatens to yank the broadcast license of a channel whose reporters are asking him challenging questions?

I ask because I feel like there used to be tons of pundits worried about free speech. Where'd they go?
Trump in response to an Epstein question: "ABC, your company, your crappy company is one of the perpetrators. I think the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong. And we have a great commissioner, a chairman, who should take a look at that."

I don't care about (hopefully consensual) oral sex between 2 adult men.
But when the giver believes everything is about power, win/loss, submission, and may not be capable or understand love, then that's a very bad day for the giver. No wonder he wants to cover it up from his followers

You absolutely should question if this 4-hour interrogation of an internationally renowned legal expert on his *95TH BIRTHDAY* was politically motivated and an abuse of power

If CBSA refuses to explain itself, it is betraying the public's trust and deserves no benefit of the doubt

The damage done by certain councillors, mayors + columnists contributing to this mess is immense.
It will take decades until an Ontario government may re-consider allowing one of the most effective tools to tackle the root cause of the problem: speed.

"Everyone - whether driving, walking or cycling has a role to play in keeping our community safe."
-Mayor Andrea Horwath

My question is simple: What about those who design, approve, build and maintain hostile road design? Do they have a role?
A crossing guard was killed by the driver of a dump truck yesterday. absolutely heartbreaking.
Look at our intersections, look how hostile these are for people/children - this is what we continue to build and defend at all costs. These aren't accidents, these are results. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

There's no other way to describe this than moral bankruptcy. Just a blatant willingness to ruin the lives of thousands, especially young men. This government criminalizes addiction elsewhere, but when this one kind triples its revenue in 3 years, they're happy to fuel it.

Even “good wars” should never be forgotten as avoidable if these craven motivations weren’t a factor. Defeating the Nazis was good, but how many lives could have been saved if they were stopped earlier? How many colonized people weren’t considered worthy of saving with military defense?
