That would be my utopia. Wanna learn the attack patterns by dying against this enemy 17 times, only to discover it was a two-stage fight?
OR you could solve these environmental puzzles to make a piano fall on his head.

What would be even better would be a secret tunnel round the boss. Then you'd have a puzzle version rather than a cowards option. And the alphas can carry on pewpew as if nothing happened.
