This is something the Nazis used to do to Jewish children in the camps. It happened to a man I knew when he was a child in Auschwitz. The camp guards thought it was funny as hell.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

This is Willie Horton times a thousand. Would end any other presidency/politician if someone you pardoned went on to commit sex crimes. How is this real life?

pretty obvious at this point that the conditions in the MAGA camps are considerably worse than Japanese internment

I would strongly encourage Democrats to continue with this rhetorical strategy.

It really subverts the entire worldview of the MAGA right.
