That’s enough. Y’all are downgraded to just Good Britain now
Counterpoint: it's extremely funny to wind up citizens of the most powerful and culturally dominant country on earth by using a slightly-more-accurate demonym for them.

Especially as the "ignoring" seems to be taking the form of dozens and dozens of posts complaining about it.

This is completely disgusting. Today, the CDC updated their vaccine safety page. It now says:

“The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism”.

Too many Israeli atrocities to keep up, but this hits home as a transplantation pro. for the past 10+ yrs

This violates every ethical principle upon which our organ transplant systems are built and shows a horrifying disrespect for human lives. Israel’s disdain for Palestinians knows no bounds
🚨 Dr. Ghassan Abu Sitta describes evidence of systematic organ theft from Palestinian bodies recently returned from Israeli custody, saying hearts, lungs, kidneys, and corneas were surgically removed from those killed in Gaza. He noted surgical cuts and stitching from the chest to the abdomen...

Folks. If you love your city and the people in it and feel helpless in the face of the fascist forces roaming your neighborhoods, read this piece and find some way to resist or to keep resisting or to support others who are. Be like Chicago. City of Broad Shoulders indeed.
My latest is a love letter to Chicago. "I see you stumbling through the stubborn, awkward rhythm of showing up, again and again. I see you fighting alongside people who sometimes frustrate and confuse you, and defending neighbors you may have never met, because you know they’re all your people."
In Chicago, We Run Toward Danger Together
"Faced with unrelenting state violence, Chicagoans have refused to be cowed," says Mariame Kaba.

I canceled this weekend and you can too! Pick a reason: underpaid musician rates, AI slop music, CEO funding AI war machine Palantir, ICE ads, paying Joe Rogan…
FYI if you have a Spotify membership, Indivisible is asking people to cancel until they stop running ICE recruitment ads. Instructions on how to do it here: www.youtube.com/shorts/TKp7c...

Deeply unserious reasoning coming out of the DOJ today
Perry: How do you respond to the plaintiffs' contention that any unrest, any violence is the fault of how federal agents are interacting with members of the public? Does it matter if their conduct is why they can't execute federal laws?
Hamilton: No.
