Want to hear about a party that isn’t too keen on democracy, deporting people who side with their opposition and stifling the opposition press to remain in power?

The Alien and Sedition Acts have a LOT to say.

This segment from @maryannefranks.bsky.social is an incredibly tight argument that captures the breadth of the Trump assault on free speech perfectly and in less than a minute.

Spread it far and wide.
WOW. Watch a constitutional law expert completely DEBUNK Republicans’ censorship crusade, while articulating exactly how Donald Trump is threatening freedom of speech. 🔥

Will be interesting to see how this scandal resulted from DEI

Maybe all the people who could have told them not to plan wars on Signal were DEI-fired

Gotta say the white men aren't recommending themselves

America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

They are monsters. There is no way around it. It is both dangerously bad foreign policy and it is grotesquely inhumane. The vast majority of Americans don't get it and need to wake up to what is happening here, to how disastrous it is for us and the world, how dangerous it is for our future.
The New York Times is the first to put out comprehensive estimates on the cost of a year without U.S.A.I.D. and they’re higher than I thought:
- 1.65 million deaths from AIDS
- 500,000 from lack of vaccines
- 550,000 from lack of food aid
- 290,000 from malaria
- 310,000 from TB
Killing children is by design, I'm afraid. "Pro-natalists" like Musk claim they aren't racist, but their pressure to have children is solely focused on white women, while they back policies that literally kill of non-white children.

He's a eugenicist.

The Trump Presidency belongs to Putin and Musk.

It'll take a while for the MAGA cult to realize they've been played but should be clear to everyone else by now. America is for sale.

Not a great time for citizens who have chosen to serve their country by working in government, when the current leaders have nothing but contempt for your very existence.

I have an idea, run for office against a Republican who is enabling it - which is all of them.

I've come to understand religion as a moral justification to be inhumane. Having a moral basis is how we can deny truth, including hurting others. Until one must accept their morality is immoral, inhumanity will pass as moral.
America as we know it survives or dies on this.
