A federal agency quoting scripture isn’t inspirational — it’s unconstitutional.

The only reason to invoke the bible in a government propaganda video is to claim a higher authority than the Constitution, which is where our strength actually comes from.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

The Thiel-linked Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) hosted a panel featuring Stephen Wolfe (author of the Case for Christian Nationalism) who wrote that “Non-Christians living among us are…not entitled to political equality.” ISI supports over 70 student-run publications across the country. 1/

I wish like hell she was wrong.
Do you want to know why Michelle Obama won’t run for president?

Here it is, and she’s not wrong…

Memphis is experiencing gestapo-style raids 24/7 now. Our local media is failing us and the national media is ignoring this black/blue/incredibly poor city in a red state. I guess we just aren’t as sexy as LA or Portland.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Read the whole thread. F*ck ICE
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

If you’re not following @mrs-frazzled.bsky.social you are missing out on her delightfully funny videos. Excellent focus on education issues and ability to break down what has been happening at Dept of Education into real life implications for students, parents, and educators.
The only “red wave” is the ketchup Trump throws when he’s having a big feeling.

While I’m happy Prop 50 in CA passed as a necessary defense, we need federal fair maps legislation that requires each and every state have independently drawn maps. This is such a circus. We still don’t have a permanent fair maps solution in Wisco and our federal maps haven’t changed.

Spend some time catching up on this issue when you can. I know it’s a nonstop fire hose of info 24/7 but this is a big one that didn’t get the attention it needs.
ICYMI, Dominion Voting has been acquired by Scott Leinendecker, a former GOP election official from Missouri. Leindendecker is also the CEO of electronic poll book supplier Knowink whose product manager, Mitch Millville, was Ed Martin’s campaign IT director in Missouri in 2011. This Ed Martin. 1/

ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.
