The Freedom From Religion Foundation is a national 501 (c)(3) nonprophet nonprofit, with 40,000 nonreligious members working to keep state and church separate.
This military action to “protect Christians” is reckless, unconstitutional, and steeped in Christian nationalism.

U.S. bombs are not religious weapons.

Foreign policy must be secular, rights-based, and grounded in diplomacy — not holy war.

Wait, what? We were told this was a deeply thoughtful essay that just happened to mention the Bible and got a zero because Christians are being persecuted.

You mean she phoned it in and got the grade she earned?
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.

Thor: Love and Thunder had a $144,165,107 opening weekend.
A movie about a space god with lightning powers, screaming goats, and Natalie Portman’s biceps.

Producers and directors have already figured out which god audiences prefer.

We are not, have never been and never will be a Christian nation.

We're a secular nation where you're free to believe whatever you want.
JD Vance gets the biggest applause of his speech so far when he says "by the grace of God we always will be a Christian nation"

Is it really so hard to give state employees time off for the holidays without using government power to preach your personal religious beliefs?

Apparently it is.

OU says students have a right to be free from a lecturer’s “impermissible evaluative standards.”

Translation: if a student invokes Christianity, academic rigor no longer applies.

Poor writing and off-topic work get a free pass so long as they are labeled “religious belief.”

She declared the offices were closed "in order that state employees may spend this holiday with their families giving thanks for Christ's birth."

She's really making non-Christians feel "seen and heard."
December 22, 2025 at 7:57 PM
You didn’t just close state offices. You told employees to spend the day “giving thanks for Christ’s birth.”

A day off is fine. Using state power to promote one religion is not.

Arkansans deserve a governor who doesn't impose her religion onto everyone else.

Oh look, invocations being used to enforce an ideological litmus test instead of serving any useful purpose.

This is just one of the many reasons why these performative rituals don’t belong in government meetings.

It showed Trump doesn’t understand the separation of church and state at a basic level. www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

Rob Boston has been a steady, principled force for church–state separation for decades, and the movement is stronger because of his work.

Enjoy a well-earned retirement, Rob.
Rob Boston is one of the truly remarkable folks in the fight for church-state separation. After nearly 40 years at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, he rides into the retirement sunset. Thank you for being the rising tide, Rob.

Alliance Defending Freedom isn’t just reshaping U.S. law.

It’s exporting its Christian nationalist legal agenda worldwide, pouring millions into courts abroad to attack abortion rights, LGBTQ+ equality and church–state separation.

Everything that Pete Hegseth is doing to impose his personal religious beliefs on our servicemembers should worry anyone who cares about our military.
The Army’s "Spiritual Fitness Guide" mentions "God" once in 112 pages—and that apparently broke Pete Hegseth’s brain.

He's now targeting the Chaplain Corps.

His baseless complaints should worry anyone who cares about our military.

He doesn’t need biblical “wisdom.” He needs to follow the Constitution, period.

Government officials swear an oath to the Constitution, not to scripture.

Chaplains are meant to serve service members who choose spiritual support, across beliefs or none at all.

That role is about neutrality and inclusion, not the Christian nationalism Pete Hegseth is pushing.
