Trump is trying to sell the federal student loan portfolio so predatory companies & his billionaire buddies can keep profiting & preying on our borrowers.

This is dangerous & unacceptable.

@warren.senate.gov, @sanders.senate.gov & I are leading our colleagues and demanding Trump back down NOW.
Warren urges Trump administration to 'immediately cease' student loan selloff plans

We can participate in democracy and be flawed while also having non-negotiable. No nazis. No racists. We aren’t abandoning trans people. Triple the minimum wage. Universal healthcare. Reproductive freedom. Etc etc etc. Stand for something! Appeasement accomplishes very little.

While some critics decry Zohran Mamdani's vision for New York City as far-fetched, experts noted that they build off progressive foundations laid by past policies.

Racial and gender oppression, and the intersections of the two, are at the most basic about who gets opportunities and resources (social & otherwise) and who does not. In other words, so-called social issues ARE economic issues.
I’m so sick of the economic issues are more important than social issues people. 44% of the US is non-white, 30% are white women. We’re all included in “DEI,” a group they’re trying to kick out of the job market. It’s hilarious that anyone thinks they can have an economy without us.

We’re in a health care crisis.

Hospitals and clinics will close from Trump’s cuts.

15 million people will lose their health care.

Now Trump’s CDC layoffs are making it even WORSE by gutting our ability to stop emerging health threats.

Democrats are fighting to stop this.

Don’t believe the gun lobby’s hype: There is no research to support the idea that women’s gun ownership increases their safety. In fact, studies show the opposite—that women living in households with a firearm are at greater risk of homicide.
