We can participate in democracy and be flawed while also having non-negotiable. No nazis. No racists. We aren’t abandoning trans people. Triple the minimum wage. Universal healthcare. Reproductive freedom. Etc etc etc. Stand for something! Appeasement accomplishes very little.

It's not in teaching our young sons to recognize their feelings that we can teach them to do better and different (conservative men are VERY in touch with their feelings). It is in teaching them that women and more marginalized groups are not responsible for those feelings.
