When Ralph Lazo, a Mexican-Irish American was 17, he found out his Japanese neighbors were being sent away. He wrote his friend, Yoshindo Shibuya who had been sent away, said it was immoral for Japanese Americans to be interned.
He snuck in and joined them in solidarity.
