Suggestion to Americans: If you used a current bank account with funds on a recent tax return, it may be wise to contact your bank and request a change. Account and routing numbers are accessible, and Elon Musk’s staff have access to this information. Stay safe and protect your assets.

Commentary: For much of the 20th century, efforts to remake government were driven by a desire to make it work for regular Americans. The Project 2025 agenda being implemented by Trump seeks to roll that back and realign government with the interests of private business.

This is a perfect example of today's congressional Republican -- she confidently repeats an idiotic lie from Trump that's already been disproven, is immediately called out for the lie, and just lets what would normally be a career-ending moment roll right off her back. No brain, no shame.
Malliotakis: We try to get to the bottom of where this money is going, $50 million for condoms in Gaza, for example. These are real things!

Phillip: We know that there was not $50 million spent for condoms in Gaza. There was $0 spent on condoms in the Middle East. That is a complete lie

These keywords could show up in the text of ANY grant involving human participants. If you say you're going to study men and women, you get flagged. If you say you're going to control for socioeconomic status - totally standard practice - you get flagged. Disability? Flagged.

Would love to understand why every Democrat is not out there every second of the day explaining in plain English that Donald Trump has declared war on cancer patients.
From a source inside the National Cancer Institute:

“Everyone is scrambling to figure out how we’re supposed to work to serve the public when we can’t engage at all.”

Topics covered include road pricing, parking reform, and transit system integration. For each one, USDOT summarizes research findings and suggests federal funding opportunities.

Musk is promoting his new world X-Axis
quick q for any German politics experts: what kind of political actor tends to urge Germans not to feel guilty for the past?
Musk joins German far right's opening rally remotely, instructs Germans to stop feeling guilty and reminds them how impressed Caesar had been with German tribes' ability to fight.

Could not make this up.

"Some local activists and watchdogs believe one aspect of local police violence is attributable to a school of thought that believes force that nearly kills civilians is a legitimate way to neutralize — or “deescalate” — dangerous situations."
A report by the police ombuds shows some review board members at the Spokane Police Department — the third deadliest police department per capita in the nation — believe that physical violence is one form of deescalation. Advocates hope to change that. Story here: rangemedia.co/spokane-poli...

As ever, the loss of something good and useful for Americans is framed as a loss for Democrats — in the mass media, everything becomes just a political football to be kicked back and forth instead of examined for its impact on everyday citizens regardless of political party.
