If you receive an illegal order, you have a duty to disobey.

This isn’t controversial.

A President calling for the execution of anyone who reminds service members of this oath is showing us why the duty to disobey illegal orders is so important in the first place.

The schadenfreude is off the charts in South Bend. Good riddance.
LSU is firing Brian Kelly after a blowout loss to Texas A&M and internal clashes over staff moves, per sources. His four-year run ends without a single double-digit regular-season win.

There is no more apt a metaphor for our country today.
President began demolishing the East Wing of the WH to build there his $200M+ ballroom.

East Wing was built in 1942 during the presidency of FDR. It was constructed to cover the bunker that he used during WWII and the President's Emergency Operations Center.

Congratulations to everyone on the PBS News Hour who are continuing the legacies of Robert MacNeil, #MizzouMade Jim Lehrer, Gwen Ifill, Judy Woodruff and others. It's the last credible evening news program.
Tonight marks a milestone for all of us at the PBS News Hour. On this day 50 years ago, we aired our first broadcast. The show had a different name, but the same mission to deliver thoughtful & trustworthy journalism. Half a century later, we're still at it & guided by the same principles & mission.

Without a duke or duchess, how will the good folk of York and greater Yorkshire survive? Will their pudding be as tasty? Will their terriers be less adorable?

No doubt this leaves the region vulnerable to attack from Lancashire, once those folks sort out the problem of the 4,000 holes.

A classic case of irresponsible both-sidesism from the NYT. The story is that Trump and MAGA propagandists are lying about Portland to incite a conflict, not that there are different views of the matter.

Of course, it had to be Polanco. More pain for Twins fans.

Sigh. The Yankees own the Twins, even when they no longer are Twins. Poor Louie.

Who at Twins TV thought that was a good idea? But to be honest, it was a fitting conclusion to a brutal season that was defined by poor decisions.
Oof, the Minnesota Twins 2025 season highlight reel was . . . something. (Remember when we had hope? Ah well.)

Apparently, Jimmy Fallon has never heard a musical guest he didn't love because his reaction is always the same: "That is how you DO IT!!!" He's an excitable puppy that you'll never house train. He's an insufferable corporate shill.

This is a pretty good list, @billboard.com, but you omit Elton John's surprise appearance at @farmaid.org in 1990 in Indianapolis, where he dedicated "Candle in the Wind" for 18-year-old Ryan White. Elton was at Ryan's bedside when he died the next day of AIDS. It was a beautiful tribute to Ryan.
