Every TikTok I see about Chicago, I post "Chicago is the greatest city in the world" and get a chorus of "hell yeah" replies. And you may ask yourself, why do people love Chicago so much?

It's simple. Chicago is the greatest city in the world.
Tonight I reconnected with one of the people Iooked up to the most pre-covid and I am so thrilled to have him back in my life. It reminds me that people in Chicago care deeply about connections and building a brighter future together.

BREAKING: The full DC Circuit will NOT rehear the appeal over the contempt proceedings before Judge Boasberg re: the March 15 flights.

Three Democratic appointees write to say en banc review isn’t called for here b/c of the lack of “practical or presidential effect” of the panel opinion.

Bovino may have escaped Chicago's winter, but he wont escape accountability. As he plans to return to Illinois in the spring, I look forward to the courts holding him, CBP, and DHS accountable for their actions in our communities.

Our coalition will keep fighting in the streets and in the courts.
The judge who handed down a sweeping order restricting the feds’ use of force during their deportation campaign in Chicago is planning a March 2 trial that could lead to a more permanent ruling ahead of a possible surge of agents in the spring.

I think it would be really funny for Ellis to haul him back into court next week. The odds of this are low. But!

If one subscribes to the theory that much of what the admin does is intended to push boundaries (in this case, literally) to test resistance and the law, suddenly Charlotte makes a lot more sense.
Charlotte is not even within the 100-mile “border zone” that CBP claims to have jurisdiction over.

All I have to say about the Nuzzi profile is that at the end of it she jokes about how she destroyed her life. In fact she did not do that. She has a book, a magazine job, this lovely profile. People’s lives are being destroyed by this administration, however, including by -well, you know.

Enough is enough. We cannot continue to provide weapons to Israel.

Congress must pass my Block the Bombs Act to take the first steps toward oversight and accountability. Congress must listen to Americans and end our government's complicity in Netanyahu’s genocidal campaign.

Gregory Bovino, Kristi Noem, Tricia McLaughlin, and Tom Homan lie.

The courts have already caught them red-handed in their blatant abuse of power.

We will keep speaking the truth and sharing the facts!

ludwig is not a perfect person but anyone who alleges that he isn't genuine is just wrong. in basically all of his streams and videos you can tell he genuinely cares about the people in his life, and the world more broadly, and he's trying to do what he can to make it a better place.
So the streamer Ludwig recently found out that one of his earliest regular viewers, who was trans, passed away and tonight he's doing a charity stream for the Trevor Project. So far he's raised over $46,000 in about 5 hours. www.twitch.tv/ludwig

Part of me thinks it would be fun to make Hatch Act violations privately enforceable and then the part of me that has been to law school reminds the first part of me that doing so would invite bad faith rich people to ruin the lives of dedicated civil servants.
I don't think it gets mentioned enough that Bovino is a member of the civil service. He is not a political appointee. Yet he still engages in constant open partisanship while in uniform and with a DHS flag behind him.
Bovino: "Whether they were criminals or individuals that were taking jobs from Americans -- you name it, that's what they were doing. And I'll tell you what's gonna happen. We're gonna go even harder on the streets. If he releases those 650, we're gonna apprehend 1,650 on the streets of Chicago."

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Federal judges famously love it when you publicly brag about violating their orders.

NEW — I spoke to DoorDash about the White House claiming the company's report shows "inflation has been tamed" and whether that's an interpretation one should make. An economist also weighed in, pointing out dictatorships use data obfuscation as a tool, and right now they're "grasping at straws."
WH claims 'inflation tamed,' per DoorDash stats. Company says that's not in its report.
It comes the same week we learned the WH would likely not release key economic reports for October.

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Predictable but still amazing to watch people who spent literally years accusing every librarian, teacher, and trans person they could find of sexually grooming children suddenly throw themselves in with "actually it's ephebophilia"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."
