This seems like the most straightforward and also basically accurate message.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

It shouldn’t be forgotten that a big piece of Mamdani’s campaign was simply “cities are cool and lots of people enjoy living in them” which in and of itself dismantles alot of rightwing talking points

I am merely aiding the police in their inquiries, it is simply a way of passing the time for me, and the constables, they are gracious enough to accept my assistance, all unpaid, of course. If you, too, will humor me by joining the other guests in the parlor I would like to share some of my findings
This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.

Magnificent column from @peterhartlaub.bsky.social here. I am especially in love with the call to “take a walk” because it is not only a stellar point maker, (take a hike, Marc) but also downright brilliant advice for anyone who finds themselves in San Francisco.
Blew up my weekend to write this “Marc Benioff come-to-your-senses challenge.”

I’ve rarely shared my opinions about politics in the Chronicle beyond some LGBTQ+ & bike/pedestrian safety things but Jesus he wants the military on S.F. streets what the hell?

Marc Benioff wants troops in S.F.? There’s a path back to sanity, and it’s close to home
Marc Benioff called for the National Guard in S.F. The city doesn’t need the military on its streets. It needs the Salesforce founder to follow his grandfather’s example, Peter Hartlaub...

White on white crime is a tragic epidemic sweeping the country.

How many more will we lose to white gang violence and rightwing turf wars?

It’s the culture, you know. These white celebrities glamorize a criminal lifestyle & young inner-suburb kids get trapped in the school-to-influencer pipeline.
