I am not sure why this talk of the US taking over Canada implies we would be one state? We could argue for at least 17 states, 90 electoral votes, and 34 senators, the balance of power would be vastly different! Though this would be less rep than we have now in government and generally a bad idea!

So, to be clear: my position is that there is a cultural and structural parallel between anti-trans social and cultural legislation and the kinds of social and cultural legislation in favor of segregation. It is almost as if the folks who are enacting these policies LEARNED from their history.
