Huidig links heeft wel degelijk een antwoord: nivelleren, herinvesteren in sociale voorzieningen, economie herinrichten om van slachthuizen en distributiecentra af te komen. Maar dat kan deze rechtse stemmers niets schelen want bovenaan hún lijstje staat: alle buitenlanders eruit.
Ik zie mensen dit stuk wel iets te makkelijk weg zetten. Ik denk dat veel rechtse stemmers inderdaad vast zitten in een vreemde dynamiek en mythologie van trots en vernedering die ze zelf niet begrijpen maar waar links en hoogopgeleiden ook geen effectief antwoord op hebben. Ik denk er nog over na.

My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.
