whoever the democratic party decides to prop up as their next presidential candidate should run on this:

Reach the students who are currently having their degrees stripped of their professional status and plan to retroactively repay them since they cannot secure student loans now.

Republicans often claim "guns aren't the problem, it's mental illness."

Yes, mental health is a major problem in America — which is why we should fund programs to address it.

But all countries deal with mental illness.

Yet they don't suffer from the scourge of gun violence like the U.S.

SNAP is a lifeline for working families — helping to put food on the tables of hundreds of thousands of Illinoisians.

I'm joining my fellow governors in urging Congress to reject any proposal that would slash this vital program and harm the health and stability of Americans.
That’s why I organized a multi-state effort to urge congressional leadership to save SNAP. I’m grateful to the 22 governors who joined me.

AI is coming for YOUR job and jobs all across the country.

Who will benefit from this revolutionary transformation?

Will it be working class Americans or the billionaires who own the technology?

That is the economic struggle of our time.

A lot of folks have a lot to say about “immigrants stealing jobs” and not a peep about billionaires going crazy for AI to literally steal jobs!

It shouldn’t be this hard to start and support a family.

People should make living wages, be able to buy homes, and retire at a reasonable age.

Instead, our system has sunk working class people into student and medical debt while paying high rents and making low wages.

The thing about generative AI that makes it different from other climate threats is that it’s NEW. Most people can’t imagine living without meat or plastic… but we can all imagine living without Chat GPT. We’ve all done it before. So yes, we can put the genie back into the bottle. It’s not too late.

For me, this was the money quote about Cop Hysteria Disorder: "Naloxone should be administered to those with objective signs of hypoventilation or a depressed level of consciousness, and not for vague concerns such as dizziness or anxiety."

I guess I’m grateful that @durbin.senate.gov decided to vote with morals this time.

Rural hospitals across the nation depend on Medicaid to stay open.

Illinois' hospitals and health systems support 445,000 full-time jobs and anchor our rural communities.

If these cuts happen, hospitals will close and people will lose their jobs.
With proposed Medicaid cuts, southern Illinois hospitals may be forced to slash services
Touchette Regional Hospital relies on Medicaid for as much as 78% of its revenue — more than any other local hospital.

I can’t believe we’re still doing this theater. Your local hospital has “enough fentanyl to kill everyone inside.” But nobody is dying from it bc the only way to die from fentanyl is to inject/snort too much. Same for fentanyl on the street. This insurrectionist Barbie is a real threat to Americans.
