Online violence against women, for want of a better word, is being perpetrated by fascists, Nazis, religious fundamentalists and incels. It will destroy the quality of our government and democracy., which depends on getting pluralist voices into decision-making.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.
Here's how to turn it off.

Wearing eyeglasses was a tricky thing, as something on your nose attracts attention. Eyeglasses were made for reading and seeing better but also had a distinctive function of making you, the one wearing eyeglasses, a bit more special. Francisco de Quevedo knew all this.

sometimes I believe I'm the only millennial left in London who will hugely inconvenience myself, usually on at least a monthly basis, because I still believe that you should only buy something online if you're really tried your best to find it in person, and failed
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Getting flashbacks of the time I accidentally burned down an embassy’s garden.
(I was cleared of any wrongdoing, it being accepted that there was no reasonable expectation when I flicked my fag-butt that the soil would be newly-laid highly flammable dried peat that would burn all night.)
