A big part of this, I think, is how she got into Congress. She wasn't a politician, wasn't selected by any kind of Democratic machine that saw a strategic opportunity—she just went and knocked on doors. It seems like she's there because she…actually cares?
I agree with some left critiques of AOC and don’t think we need to mindlessly applaud her or think she’s free of fault but every time I see her it’s like “why is she the only notable democratic politician as mad about all this shit as they should be?”
