Major part of my transit wishlist: I'd love to see NYC embrace a regional map of 🚇 and 🚊 services.

NYC is part of a regional economy and community-- it would be a major win if commuters could visualize PATH, HBLR and Newark City subway alongside the NYC subway system.

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

Yesterday's No Kings protests were apparently the largest since the first Earth Day in 1970

The NYT covered that story with a six column headline across the top of the paper and two full pages inside

Today, two small pics below the fold and a story on page A23

Mike Johnson’s position is young pregnant American women shouldn’t have to wait before being turned away to die in the parking lot from an ectopic pregnancy the hospital is afraid to treat
Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.

This is EXCELLENT.

1) this is spot-on analysis of the problem & a great immediate 1st thing a city can do to improve outcome.

2) as a 2 min clip? He's giving history, hope & change. Speaking to women, to Jewish & Black NYers, saying "abortion." & also naming eugenics in feminism. 100/10 no notes.

We need democracy clubs in every city and town that provides beer and childcare and that publishes a newspaper at least once a week.
As it stands, the vast, vast majority of Democratic money gets spent on TV ads, voter registration, and polling. But these are very ineffective measures because they ignore the desperate lack of in-person community that many people face, especially people who are not religious.
